Performance Issue: Matrix Media

What?

Matrix media was temporarily slow or completely unresponsive. Images, videos, and other media may have taken unusually long or failed to load or send.

When?

Between 7:05 PM CDT and 7:11 PM CDT on Tuesday, February 8th.

Why?

An unusually high number of thumbnail requests were made to the media repository, causing the cache to fill most available memory. The media repository configuration has been modified to avoid this issue in the future.
