Partial Outage: Matrix Media

What?

Media uploads to Matrix were temporarily offline. Downloads were unaffected.

When?

Between 2:21 PM CST and 4:19 CST on Saturday, February 26th.

Why?

The cache daemon backing the Matrix media server exhausted available memory and was automatically killed. The daemon did not automatically restart. Configuration has been modified to prevent a reoccurrence.
